Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed strong support for the Anti-Money Laundering Council’s (AMLC) decision to freeze the bank accounts of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
She described the action as deserved and necessary, especially in light of Quiboloy’s alleged exploitation of Filipinos, including minors and overseas workers.
Hontiveros hopes this move will prevent Quiboloy from fleeing justice and urges further cooperation between local and international authorities to stop the flow of funds to offshore accounts. She emphasized that this marks the beginning of justice for those who were wronged.
