Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 Assistant Regional Director Russel A. Jallorina led the regional team in benchmarking the General Trias City LGU’s implementation of the JobStart Philippines Program.
General Trias LGU’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) achieved the highest placement rate at 80%, according to DOLE-Bureau of Local Employment’s 2021 report.
The benchmarking focused on quality and timely implementation, feedback systems, and student learning accessibility, with plans for DOLE-10’s Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office to adopt these practices in its second wave.
Mayor Luis A. Ferrer IV and PESO Manager Atty. Alexander Abraham P. Colina supported the activity, which included site visits by private sector partners. The JobStart Philippines program, institutionalized by Republic Act 10869, prepares young Filipinos for employment through career coaching, life skills, technical training, and internships.
