Quezon Province Launches Ambitious Agri-Tourism Campaign

The provincial government of Quezon, under the leadership of Governor Doktora Angelina Helen Tan, has unveiled an enhanced tourism campaign to position the province as the premier agri-tourism hub in the Calabarzon region by 2030.

The campaign, titled “Tara Na Sa Quezon,” was relaunched through a two-day agri-tourism familiarization tour featuring both established and emerging sites.

Governor Tan emphasized the economic potential of local tourism, stating that supporting Quezon’s destinations contributes to economic growth by creating tourism-related opportunities. She highlighted the province’s diverse attractions, including beaches, resorts, waterfalls, and caves, alongside its agri-tourism offerings.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Ferdinand Jumapao praised tourism as a crucial driver of economic growth and sustainable development, emphasizing its role in connecting cultures and fostering understanding.

The relaunch event included tours of notable agri-tourism sites such as Lukong Valley Farm, known for its dragon fruit plantation, and Habilin Integrated Farm, which promotes sustainable agricultural practices. Visitors also experienced hands-on activities at Four K Kakao Farm and participated in cultural rituals like the Tagayan.

Governor Tan reaffirmed the province’s commitment to developing Quezon’s agri-tourism sector, aligning with the vision of becoming Calabarzon’s prime destination by 2030.
