“Lab for All” Aids Quezon City Residents

The Philippine government’s “Lab for All” initiative offered free medical services and assistance to over 1,500 indigent residents of Quezon City on Tuesday.

Held at Risen Garden, Quezon City Hall, the event featured booths from various agencies providing X-rays, lab tests, consultations, and eye checkups.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also distributed 2,000 pesos (around $35 USD) to each beneficiary.

Spearheaded by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, the initiative aims to make quality healthcare accessible to all Filipinos. Notable attendees included Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian.

Mayor Belmonte emphasized the government’s commitment to affordable healthcare, highlighting the importance of bringing essential services directly to the needy.

The event’s free services and financial aid aim to address the healthcare needs of underprivileged communities in Quezon City and beyond.
