NCRPO Highlights Peacekeeping Achievements

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director PMGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. on Tuesday, August 6, will present the significant accomplishments of the law enforcement agency in maintaining enhanced peace and order in Metro Manila.

In the 11th Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas (KBP) Media Forum, Nartatez will highlight the continuous implementation of the NCRPO 7-Point Action Plan which essentially forms part of establishing a more effective, secure, and community-oriented police visibility in the region.

The 7-Point Action Plan serves as the flagship program of the NCRPO under the leadership of Nartatez which is aimed at intensifying the peacekeeping efforts of the police force for improved public safety while ensuring the morale and welfare of police personnel.

“We, at NCRPO can proudly say that the peace and order in Metro Manila has been improving because of the intensified operations that we are conducting,” said Nartatez.

“Ang programang ito ay naglalayong paigtingin ang ating mga iba’t ibang police operations tulad ng mga outreach programs, anti-criminality operations, safety and security operations, kabilang na rin ang pagbuo at pag-improve sa ating mga contingency plans,” the police chief added.

(This program aims to strengthen the different police operations such as outreach programs, safety and security operations, including the development and improvement of our contingency plans.)

Nartatez will also share how the NCRPO is actively conducting capacity-building training and seminars to further cater to the welfare and boost the morale of police personnel. This initiative adds to other support services that the police force and their families receive through community relations activities.

In terms of police visibility, the NCRPO likewise ensures the effective deployment of the police force during events of national and local importance for crime prevention and maintenance of the peace situation in the region.

During the recently concluded 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., a sum of 23,996 personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and NCRPO were deployed around Metro Manila to ensure the peaceful conduct of demonstrations.

Meanwhile, some 5,522 police personnel provided assistance to the disaster response and relief operations during the onslaught of Super Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon.

The NCRPO has also activated 681 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) and deployed 4,894 police personnel in the 1,322 public and private schools in Metro Manila to ensure the safe and secure opening of classes.

Nartatez, however, gave emphasis to the vital role of public cooperation in achieving a safe and secure environment for Metro Manila residents.

“Hinikayat rin natin ang bawat isa na maging parte ng solusyon sa pagpigil at pagpuksa sa anumang krimen sa ating rehiyon. Patuloy tayong magtulungan upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng ating komunidad,” Nartatez remarked.

(We are encouraging each and everyone to be part of the solution in preventing and combating any crime in our region. Let us continue to help each other to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.)
